With its octagonal design, the Rotalux Octa 175 softbox provides a very large, soft light pattern. Perfect for portraits, group photos, product shots, and more, as the softbox creates a round reflection on reflective surfaces and evenly spreads light over a large area. The Rotalux Octa is highly popular among photographers because its light character can be easily and quickly adjusted from soft to hard by removing the outer and sometimes the inner diffusion cloth during photography. Elinchrom Rotalux
Elinchrom's Rotalux system is probably the most copied softbox in the world due to its simple and clever design. It's easy to imitate the design, but much harder to replicate the quality, which places Elinchrom Rotalux in a league of its own.
Extremely even light distribution
Just like all of Elinchrom's lighting tools, the geometry of Rotalux softboxes is precisely tailored to the focal length and light pattern of all Elinchrom studio flashes. These characteristics, combined with double diffusion cloths, provide the exceptionally even light that Elinchrom softboxes are known for.
Rotalux Speedring (sold separately)
The heart of Rotalux softboxes is the patented Rotalux mount, which allows the softbox to be rotated in the holder. Rotalux Speedrings are designed to make both assembly and use extremely easy. They can be quickly and easily folded like an umbrella for transportation in a compact bag. The Rotalux Speedring is (not included) compatible with most flash brands on the market, allowing the softboxes to be mounted directly on other flash brands without any intermediate adapters. All of Rotalux's unique features are retained.

Both outer and inner diffusion cloths are included as standard. Simply by removing one or both diffusion cloths, the character of the light changes.
Deflector Set
Thanks to the centrally placed umbrella mount on Elinchrom, Rotalux softboxes can be combined with Deflectors. The different materials in the deflector set create different light characteristics and can be used in combination with diffusion cloths or, if a harder light is desired, in a softbox without diffusion cloths.
Rotagrid Raster
By complementing the softbox with a Rotagrid raster, the light flow can be precisely controlled while maintaining the softbox's soft light pattern. A very popular accessory among portrait photographers who want to accentuate parts of the subject while toning down less important areas in the image.
