Elinchrom Software Updater & Release Notes

Elinchrom units must be updated with the Elinchrom Updater Software.

Most recent Elinchrom units have a USB socket which needs to be connected directly to your computer before launching the Updater Software.

For Elinchrom units without USB socket, the Elinchrom Bridge module is needed for wireless update.

How to prepare your unit!
To set the Bridge into firmware update mode, press the ON/OFF button for at least 5 secs, the white LED light will switch in yellow and flashes twice each second. Plug the USB cable and launch the Updater.

Elinchrom FIVE - 1.4

How to prepare your unit!
To set the FIVE into firmware update mode; connect the USB-C cable to the computer. Press the knob button while the unit is OFF and connect the cable to the unit. When “USB Mode” is displayed, launch the Updater.
For Mac users with Thunderbolt ports, the unit might not appear on the Elinchrom Updater due to macOS restrictions. If this is the case, you will need an adapter from USB-C to USB-A and connect the FIVE with a USB-A to USB-C cable.

To set the ELC into firmware update mode; first remove the mains cable of the unit, plug the USB cable from the computer to the unit, reconnect the mains cable and launch the Updater.
