Philippe Echaroux, born in 1983, is a French contemporary photographer and artist and the creator of Street Art 2.0. He transforms urban and natural spaces into open-air galleries by projecting luminous portraits or messages, leaving no physical impact on the environment.Self-taught, he gained early recognition for portraits of icons including Zinedine Zidane, Jonny Wilkinson, Gary Dourdan, and Johan Cruyff. In 2008, he won the International Dior Photography Prize.Echaroux’s work often carries an environmental message, from projects in the Amazon rainforest to global initiatives in Calcutta, New York, Venice, and Havana. In 2020, his work was showcased at the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac, accompanied by a monograph. Since 2022, he has collaborated with Canal+ on the documentary series Le Monde en Lumières, highlighting his encounters with Indigenous communities worldwide.His innovative art is now included in school textbooks internationally, reflecting its cultural and philosophical impact.
