Double diffuser cloths

It is very easy to vary the light picture thanks to double diffuser cloths and grids. With both diffuser cloths on space gives the softbox a soft light with a long distance between light and shadow. By removing the outer diffuser cloth, the crispness of the image is further improved if the softbox is used without both cloths.

Softbox with Raster

By removing the outer diffuser cloth, a slightly more crisp light is obtained with a nice shade for shadow. If both screens are removed, the light is directed and relatively hard, a bit like the light from a Beauty Dish. Combine with deflector så the hotspot is removed from the lightning tree.

Super Compact Design

The Deep Octa 70 cm is very popular for on-location photography due to its compact size and light weight. The softbox is easy to handle on a lighting boom, especially when combined with the Elinchrom ELB and its lightweight lamp heads.

Wide Variation of Light Patterns

With both diffuser cloths mounted, the Deep Octa 70 cm provides soft light that, thanks to the deep design, is easy to control and offers high light output. The colour coding of the bracket and rods enable trouble free assembly. These are studio softboxes but their construction make them simple to setup but also to disassemble.

Double Diffuser Fabrics

Rotalux softboxes have double diffuser fabrics. The light pattern can be quickly and easily varied by removing the front fabric or both fabrics. Without the diffuser fabrics, the light becomes harsher with high contrast, similar to a large reflector.

Openable Reflective Fabric

The reflective fabric on Rotalux HD has four flaps at the speed ring that can be opened. This creates new creative opportunities as the camera lens can be placed inside the softbox during shooting. The flaps also increase access to the speed ring's lock screw when the softbox needs to be rotated in its mount and create extra ventilation openings for long photo sessions and extended use of the modeling lamp.
