Elinchrom units must be updated with the Elinchrom Updater Software.
Most recent Elinchrom units have a USB socket which needs to be connected directly to your computer before launching the Updater Software.
For Elinchrom units without USB socket, the Elinchrom Bridge module is needed for wireless update.

How to prepare your unit!To set the Transmitter into firmware update mode (USB mode); connect the USB-C cable to the computer. Press the central button while the Transmitter is OFF and connect the cable to the Transmitter. When “USB Mode” is displayed, launch the Updater software.

How to prepare your unit!To set the FIVE into firmware update mode; connect the USB-C cable to the computer. Press the knob button while the unit is OFF and connect the cable to the unit. When “USB Mode” is displayed, launch the Updater.For Mac users with Thunderbolt ports, the unit might not appear on the Elinchrom Updater due to macOS restrictions. If this is the case, you will need an adapter from USB-C to USB-A and connect the FIVE with a USB-A to USB-C cable.
